The IT department you don’t have to hire
Most of our clients don’t have an IT person. They have an office manager who got stuck with it, or an owner resetting passwords at 7 PM. If that sounds familiar, this page is for you.
BoldTech is the IT department for small businesses across Vancouver, WA and the Portland Metro area. For one flat monthly rate, your staff gets help when they need it, your systems get watched around the clock, and you get a real person who answers when you call.
We’ve been doing this since 2009. Our clients range from 2-person shops to 80-seat organizations, and most sit in that 10-to-75 range — big enough to need real IT, small enough that we’re the whole department.
“Being business owners of a small healthcare office, customer service, integrity and honesty are extremely important to my husband and I. Those have never wavered with BoldTech since we first signed up with them nearly a decade ago.”
Aly S. — Battle Ground Chiropractic
One flat monthly rate. That’s the whole pricing model.
Priced per user and per server, so you always know what IT costs this month and next.
Predictable
The same number every month. No hourly meter running while we fix something, and no surprise invoice after a bad week.
Sized to you
You pay for the users, servers, and locations you actually have. Hire three people, your rate adjusts. Simple.
Support included
Calls, tickets, and fixes are part of the rate. Your staff never hesitates to ask for help because of what it might cost.
What monthly support actually includes
The full list, in plain English.
Helpdesk support
Computer won’t start, email acting up, printer offline — your staff reaches out, we fix it. Every request tracked to resolution.
Monitoring and maintenance
Updates, patches, and around-the-clock monitoring happen in the background, so small problems get fixed before your staff notices them.
Cybersecurity
Email security, endpoint protection, and MFA — the defenses every small business needs now, not after an incident.
Microsoft 365 management
Accounts, licenses, Teams, SharePoint — set up right, managed continuously, and trimmed so you’re not paying for licenses nobody uses.
Backup and recovery
Tested backups with a recovery plan you’ll see in writing. If the worst happens, you’ll know exactly how fast you’re back up.
Technology planning
Budget forecasts, hardware lifecycles, and a roadmap — so IT decisions happen on a plan instead of in a panic.

Common questions from small business owners
What owners and office managers ask before they hand off their IT. If your question isn’t here, call us and ask it directly.
Pricing is a flat monthly rate based on your user count, servers, and locations — a 10-person office pays less than a 50-person office. We’ll give you an exact number after a short assessment of your setup, with no obligation. What you won’t get is an hourly bill that goes up when you have a bad month.
Our sweet spot is 10 to 75 employees, but our clients range from 2-person shops to 80-seat organizations. If your business relies on technology to get work done, you’re not too small. If you’re a one-person operation that needs occasional help, we’re probably not the right fit — and we’ll tell you that honestly.
Agreements start with a 12-month term and then continue month-to-month. We keep clients by being good at this, not by locking them in — several of our clients have been with us for over a decade.
In the first few weeks we document your environment, install our monitoring tools, and knock out the most pressing issues — usually a list of things that have been annoying your staff for months. You’ll end up with a clear written picture of your own IT, often for the first time.
Yes. Some clients keep an internal person for day-to-day questions and use us for escalation, security, and projects — that’s called co-managed IT. Others transition to us fully over time. We’ll meet you where you are.
Day-to-day support, monitoring, maintenance, and management of your systems are included. Projects — an office move, a server replacement, a phone system rollout — are quoted separately, so you approve every cost before work starts. No surprises either way.
